AMIA (Australian Malayalee Islamic Association, NSW)Ifthar meet 2016 Sydney

AMIASydney: AMIA (Australian Malayalee Islamic Association, NSW) is organising an Ifthar meet 2016 at Auburn Center for Community on 12th June 2016. Hon. Mr. Jason Clare- MP Shadow Minister for Communications, Dr.VinodBahade- Deputy Consul General from Consulate General of India, Senior Police Officials from the New South Wales Police Force, Fr. Thomas Kurunthanam-Parish Priest (Berala), Mr. John Kennedy (President, United India Association), Mr.VishViswanathan- Hindu Community Leader, Mr. Babu Varghese- President Sydney Malayalee association,Mr.Thomas Kuruvila–Chief editor of MalayaleePathram, Mr. Deeju Sivadas representing SBS Radio, Antony Yesudasan – OICC news associated editor, Mr. Binu George- editor of Metro Malayalam,  Dr.Aflah, Br. Rizwan Ahmed and Br. Mehmet from ISRA are participating chief guests.

 

AMIA president, Dr Ali Parappilhas highlighted that such activities of the association help strengthen the fraternity in a multi-cultural society. Last month, this association organised the Kids and Youth Fest 2016 with co-operation from the Auburn police department.Inspector Emma Watson, psychiatrists Dr PrashanthMayur and Dr Adnan Yunis participated in the Kids and Youth fest. AMIA organises various programs to help the Kerala Muslim community to maintain their cultural individuality in a multi-cultural society. AMIA is also organising Eid fests in July 2016 and September 2016 in Sydney and a family camp on 28 October 2016 at Naamaroo Uniting Venue, Chatswood.
